I am a violinist and researcher whose work brings together performance, scholarship and creative collaboration.

For many years, I have performed with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and as a member of NYX TRIO, experiences that have shaped both my musical life and my understanding of what it means to communicate through performance. Alongside performing, I have worked in education, research and project management, developing a career that moves naturally between the artistic and academic worlds.

My research grew from a long-standing curiosity about the relationship between performer and listener. I completed my Doctor of Music at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, exploring how live-streamed and recorded performance is changing the classical music landscape. My wider interests include liveness, audience perception, digital mediation and the evolving role of the classical musician.

Across all of these areas, I am drawn to the same questions: how music creates connection, how performance changes through different settings and technologies, and how we continue to experience a sense of presence between performer and audience.

At the heart of my work is a belief in music as something immediate, shared and constantly evolving.
